Advanced Fiber Products, a leader in the Pultrusion industry is currently seeking qualified candidates for a hands on Supervisor in the Pultrusion Department for the 2nd shift. The position will be responsible for the following:
Advanced Fiber Products, a leader in the Pultrusion industry is currently seeking qualified candidates for a hands on Supervisor in the Pultrusion Department for the 2nd shift. The position will be responsible for the following:
- Train and lead new and existing Pultrusion personnel in meeting their job requirements.
- Oversee quality inspections and train personnel on meeting quality requirements.
- Troubleshoot process or product problems and problem solve to determine best solution(s) to correct it.
- Delegate work requirements to available personnel and monitor progress.
- Meet schedule requirements such as but not limited to notifying personnel of changeovers, preparing tooling, staging materials, and making sure the necessary documents are available.
- Verify information filled out by the production personnel is correct and accurate.
- Working knowledge and ability to perform the requirements stated in the Job Descriptions related to the Pultrusion process.
- Documenting procedures and processes for future reference and or opportunity for improvements.
- Start up and shut down of all equipment related to the Pultrusion process and Plant shutdown.
- Communicate production status with other Supervisors between shifts.
- Maintain personnel and building security and safety.
- Comply and uphold company rules and policies.
- Perform OSHA required Safety training duties as requested by Management.
- Work with Engineering and Management staff on material testing and tracking.
- Input on design and development of new or existing products, materials, and equipment.
- Experience Supervising personnel in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience using World Class and Lean Manufacturing techniques.
- Good mathematical skills.
- Good mechanical skills.
- Good planning skills.
- Experience using hand tools and measuring devices.
- Prefer some experience with composites.
- Must be able to lift up to 50# and be on your feet up to 12-hours with breaks.
- Must be able to wear personal protective equipment and comply with the company Handbook.
- Must be able to work overtime as required.
